Our History
Legend has it that in 2003, Jerad Tjaden discovered his superpower when a mysterious industrial sander sparked to life in his hands. After years of honing his powers - installing, sanding, and finishing hardwood floors for others - he knew it was time. In 2014, Hardwood Hero emerged, ready to battle the forces of worn-out floors across the Des Moines area.
As owner and operator of Hardwood Hero, Jerad wields only the highest quality products in his arsenal. Like any true hero, he keeps his operation small and efficient, passing the savings on to the citizens of Des Moines.
